Jeff Mazza
Born in Texas the son of an Air Force Officer, Jeff’s family returned to New Jersey when he was five years old. He attended Toms River Schools and credits his love of music to the encouraging public school music teachers. He graduated from Rutgers University with a business degree which proved invaluable when he started his own company in his mid- 20’s.
Jeff founded Royal Music in Toms River, New Jersey in 1992.
Specializing in pianos, home organs and electronic keyboards he served the needs of mature hobbyist musicians (senior citizens). Active in senior music classes since the mid 1980’s he is responsible for thousands of retirees reaching their lifetime dream of playing music
To promote his company and making music to the Jersey Shore retiree communities Jeff played over 500 solo concerts over a 30-year period. He never profited from these shows, with the proceeds donated to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
In October 2019 Royal Music transitioned to an online only merchant leaving Jeff time to finish his upcoming business book.
Jeff attended a business conference for entrepreneurs that featured a talent show. Feeling his music ability was an unfair advantage he told his wife Jennifer he would try stand up comedy. She told him, “You’re not as funny as you think you are.” This became the closing line of his routine which focused on his wife and married life.
An avid runner, he also coaches his daughter’s soccer team. He loves the water and is comfortable in whitewater rapids or scuba diving on a wreck.
Most of all he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer and their two daughters, Emma and Sadie.
